NBA Playoffs: Nuggets Shock Timberwolves as Jamal Murray’s Last-Second Shot Ties Series and Regains Home-Court Advantage

Reading Time: < 1 minute

The Denver Nuggets made a stunning comeback in Game 4 of the Western Conference semifinals against the Minnesota Timberwolves, securing a 115-107 victory to tie the series at 2-2. After dropping the first two games at home, the Nuggets showed resilience and determination to re-seize the home court advantage.

The game was marked by a remarkable surge by the Nuggets, highlighted by an incredible 8-0 run in the final 20 seconds of the first half. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Aaron Gordon, and Jamal Murray were instrumental in leading the charge, with Nikola Jokić also delivering a stellar performance with 35 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists.

Despite a 44-point effort from Anthony Edwards, the Timberwolves couldn’t contain the Nuggets’ hot shooting, as Denver shot 57% from the field and 44.8% from beyond the arc. Gordon, in particular, was on fire, hitting 11 of 12 shots for 27 points.

The Timberwolves struggled to keep up with the Nuggets’ offensive onslaught, with Karl-Anthony Towns shooting a career-worst 1-of-10 in the first half. Despite a solid shooting performance from Minnesota, it wasn’t enough to overcome the Nuggets’ dominant display.

With the series now tied, the Nuggets have regained their confidence and momentum as they head back to Denver for a pivotal Game 5. The team’s resilience and determination have put them in a strong position to potentially rally and win the series after a challenging start.
