Reading Time: < 1 minute

Los Angeles police have arrested two individuals in connection with a New Year’s Eve assault on “Beverly Hills, 90210” actor Ian Ziering. The incident occurred when Ziering was in his car with one of his young daughters and was confronted by a group of people on minibikes near Hollywood and Highland.

The assault and car vandalism altercation involved at least four members of a minibike gang and was reported on December 31st. Ziering, known for his roles in “90210” and “Sharknado,” stated in an Instagram post that he was stuck in traffic when the minibikers approached aggressively. The situation escalated into a physical altercation, but Ziering was able to protect himself and his daughter.

Videos posted on social media captured part of the confrontation, with one showing someone swinging an object at Ziering. The LAPD used these videos and witness information to identify the suspects, leading to the arrests of 20-year-old Jacob Esteban Hernandez and 40-year-old Angie Teresa Guizar.

Hernandez was booked on suspicion of felony vandalism with bail set at $50,000, while Guizar was booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon with bail set at $30,000. The case will be presented to the county prosecutor’s office for further action.

Authorities are urging anyone with information on the assault and vandalism to contact Hollywood Division Detective Douglass Hall. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through Crime Stoppers. Ziering and his daughter did not sustain any serious injuries during the incident.
