NBC10 Philadelphia surprises Travis and Jason Kelce with graduation during live “New Heights” show

Travis and Jason Kelce, former University of Cincinnati football stars, were in for a surprise during their live “New Heights” show at their alma mater. The brothers were unexpectedly treated to a graduation ceremony at Fifth Third Arena, as they had missed out on receiving their diplomas during their original ceremonies.

The Director of Athletics, John Cunningham, and university president Neville Pinto presented the brothers with cap and gowns, with Travis even receiving his old helmet that he had lost back in the day. Travis, known for his celebratory antics, chugged a beer and spiked it on stage before leading the crowd in a chant of “You gotta fight for your right to party.”

Their parents, Donna and Ed Kelce, joined them on stage, with Donna proudly wearing a Chiefs-Eagles jersey and balloons representing both teams. Travis also gave a shoutout to his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, during the event.

The Kelce brothers, hosts of the popular “New Heights” podcast, also hosted the first-ever Lombaby Games during the show, featuring student-athlete and student academic teams. The event saw appearances from Bengals players Joe Burrow and Orlando Brown Jr., as well as Bearcats legend Desmond Ridder.

“New Heights” has quickly become a hit podcast, allowing the Super Bowl champions to provide insights into the sports world while discussing trending news and headlines. The unexpected graduation ceremony added another memorable moment to their already eventful show.
