Michael Jackson’s nephew, Jaafar, is taking on a thrilling new role in a biopic recreation of the iconic “Thriller” music video. Jaafar was spotted on set this week, dressed in the same red leather outfit that his uncle made famous in the 1983 video.
The resemblance is uncanny, with Jaafar’s makeup making him look like a dead ringer for Michael Jackson in the original music video. Photos from the set show Jaafar with a gray face and a nose that appears to be nonexistent, giving him the appearance of a walking corpse.
Despite the eerie makeup, Jaafar is nailing every dance move, leading a crew of undead dancers with the same stiff grace that MJ himself displayed in the video over 40 years ago. The director of the biopic has promised a film filled with over 30 of Michael’s biggest hits, showcasing the different eras of the legendary artist’s career.
For fans of Michael Jackson, the “Thriller” album holds a special place in their hearts as the best-selling album of all time. The music video for the title track played a significant role in boosting album sales, and Jaafar’s dead-on reenactment is sure to bring back memories of the King of Pop’s iconic performance. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting biopic project.
