Network18’s TV News business sees a 28% revenue increase in Q4FY24, with full-year revenue rising by 24%

Network18’s TV news business has seen a remarkable 28% increase in revenue in the fourth quarter of FY24, showcasing a strong performance across its national, business, and regional channels. The network reported a revenue of Rs 461 crore in Q4FY24, compared to Rs 360 crore in the same quarter of FY23. For the full fiscal year, the revenue stood at Rs 1556 crore, up from Rs 1252 crore in FY23.

The network’s TV news business demonstrated its ability to leverage its strong operating position during the election season, leading to a steady increase in ad rates due to solid viewership performance. With a reach of 175 million people every week, Network18 continues to be the highest-reaching TV news network in the country.

In addition to its leadership positions in key markets, such as CNBC TV18, News18 India, and CNN-News18, the network has also maintained strong positions in regional markets like UP/Uttarakhand, Bihar/Jharkhand, and Gujarat. The digital news business of Network18 also saw significant growth, with a 40% increase in revenue in Q4FY24 and a total revenue of Rs 425 crore for the full financial year.

Moneycontrol, a part of the digital news portfolio, crossed 7.5 lakh paid subscribers, making it the top subscription-based news platform in India. News18.com expanded its editorial coverage and analysis, while Firstpost revamped its website to enhance the user experience. Overall, Network18’s TV news and digital news businesses have shown impressive growth and leadership in the media industry.
