Northern State University in Aberdeen, South Dakota, has announced Dr. Kristi Bockorny as the new dean of the School of Business. Dr. Bockorny, currently an associate professor of management and director of the NSU Honors Program, will take on her new role as the university embarks on the construction of its new Business and Health Innovation Center.
With 14 years of teaching experience at Northern State University, Dr. Bockorny is well-equipped to lead the School of Business into a new era of growth and innovation. Her extensive background includes serving as department chair, director of the NSU Honors Program, and various leadership roles within the university and the community.
The upcoming Business and Health Innovation Center will provide students with enhanced opportunities for learning and collaboration. The facility will house the School of Business, the Northern Innovation & Startup Center, and a new nursing department, creating a hub for entrepreneurship and healthcare education on campus.
Dr. Bockorny expressed her excitement about the new role, stating, “There is so much excitement and anticipation with the new building and curriculum.
