The New England Patriots and New England Revolution brought a ray of hope to the Lewiston community by hosting football and soccer clinics at Lewiston High School. In the aftermath of the tragic mass shooting that shook the town in October, the community came together to heal and support one another.

Over 400 kids eagerly signed up to participate in the clinics and other activities organized by the teams. Lewiston’s Superintendent, Jake Langlais, emphasized the importance of creating new positive memories to replace the painful ones from the past. The event aimed to bring joy and fun to the children, allowing them to focus on the present and the future.

Sarah Ward, a Lewiston resident and mother, expressed her gratitude for the support shown by the teams and the community. She highlighted the resilience of the kids and the unity that has emerged in the wake of the tragedy.

The Patriots also brought along their six Super Bowl trophies for families to take photos with, adding to the excitement of the day. Local high school football players volunteered alongside players from North Attleborough High School in Massachusetts, further strengthening the bonds between the communities.

Despite the challenges faced by Lewiston, events like these serve as a reminder of the power of unity and support in overcoming adversity. The community continues to come together, stronger and more resilient than ever before.
