Southern Team Automotive Group has made a big move in Roanoke County with the opening of a brand new Hyundai sales and service center. The center, located at 7300 Williamson Road, is now home to 200 vehicles with plans for more to come, according to company president David Dillon.

With 45 employees on board, including 18 new hires, the center is already making a positive impact on the community. The company has also retained 27 employees from their previous location just three-quarters of a mile away. Dillon shared that there are expansion opportunities in the works, with acreage behind the center being prepared for additional cars and services.

Hyundai’s best-selling model, the Tucson, is a popular choice among customers, with over 61,000 units sold from January 1 to April 30. The SUV is available in gasoline, hybrid, and plug-in hybrid models, catering to a wide range of preferences.

In other news, the Botetourt County School Board recently recognized three businesses for their support of local schools. Altec Industries, Gala Industries, and Virginia Cooperative Extension were all honored for their contributions to the community. From funding innovation challenges to supporting technical education programs, these businesses have played a vital role in enhancing the educational experience for students in the area.
