Reading Time: < 1 minute

Disney fans are in for a treat as the first trailer for ‘Moana 2′ has been unveiled, promising an exciting new adventure for Moana and Maui. The eagerly awaited sequel to the 2016 animated favorite sees Auli’I Cravalho and Dwayne Johnson reprising their roles as the voices of Moana and Maui.

The trailer teases plenty of fun and action as Moana embarks on a new sea adventure after hearing a call from her ancestors. The visuals showcase stunning water animation, including an impressive scene of Moana floating in front of a whale shark.

Fans will also be delighted to see Moana’s companions, Heihei the rooster and Pua the pig, making a return. Pua appears to be accompanying Moana on her journey this time, addressing some fans’ concerns about the pet’s absence in the original film.

Directed by David G. Derrick Jr., ‘Moana 2’ is set to hit theaters on November 29 and features new songs by Abigail Barlow and Emily Bear. The project was originally conceived as a television series but was transformed into a theatrical sequel.

In addition to the animated sequel, Disney is also producing a live-action remake of ‘Moana’ directed by Thomas Kail and starring Dwayne Johnson, set for release on July 10, 2026.

With the release of the first trailer and official poster, excitement is building for the return of Moana and Maui in ‘Moana 2’. Disney fans can look forward to another epic journey filled with adventure, humor, and heartwarming moments.
