Dennis Quaid to Host New Series “Holy Marvels” on The History Channel

Veteran actor Dennis Quaid is set to host a new nonfiction series on the History Channel that delves into the mysteries behind some of history’s most iconic “holy marvels,” including the Ark of the Covenant, Noah’s Ark, and Jesus’ crown of thorns.

Premiering on June 3 at 10 p.m., “Holy Marvels with Dennis Quaid” promises to take viewers on a captivating journey through the stories and significance of these sacred relics. The eight-episode series, which is hosted, narrated, and executive produced by Quaid himself, aims to explore the universal human experience of faith and belief systems.

Quaid expressed his excitement for the project, stating, “This series is a unique opportunity for me to reinvest my religious interests and investigate the rich history of these holy marvels and the importance they hold for people around the globe.”

Produced by the A+E Factual Studios group, the series combines immersive storytelling with recreations, archival footage, and expert interviews from historians, authors, and professors of archeology and religious studies. Quaid hopes to shed light on the profound cultural and spiritual significance of these objects through the show.

Eli Lehrer, executive vice president and head of programming for The History Channel, praised Quaid’s passion for the material and storytelling, stating that his connection to the subject matter adds depth and intrigue to the series.

In addition to his work on “Holy Marvels,” Quaid recently released a gospel album and starred in the inspirational sports drama “The Long Game.” He is also set to appear in the upcoming film “Reagan,” a biopic on the 40th president of the United States.

Quaid’s exploration of faith and spirituality in his work reflects a larger trend in Hollywood towards more positive and uplifting content, as audiences seek out stories that resonate with their own spiritual journeys. As Quaid continues to delve into the mysteries of history’s greatest “holy marvels,” viewers can expect a thought-provoking and enlightening experience.
