New Tech Wrap: Samsung Galaxy F55 and Sony ULT-series Unveiled on May 27, Plus Other Updates in Tech News

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Samsung and Sony have made a splash in the Indian market with the launch of their latest products, while Apple gears up for its highly anticipated Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) and Google faces controversy over its AI capabilities.

Samsung introduced the sleek and lightweight Galaxy F55 smartphone in India, boasting a vegan leather finish and powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC. On the same day, Sony unveiled its ULT-series audio products, including party speakers, portable wireless speakers, and wireless noise-cancelling headphones, all equipped with an innovative “ULT button” for enhanced music listening.

As Apple prepares for WWDC on June 10, rumors swirl about the incorporation of AI features into its next-generation operating systems. While reports suggest Apple’s AI offerings may not match up to competitors, the tech giant is banking on its large customer base for success. Apple has reportedly partnered with OpenAI to integrate ChatGPT into iOS 18, but is also in talks with Google to offer Gemini AI as an alternative option.

Meanwhile, Google is rumored to be considering a shift to Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) for its Tensor chips in 2025 Pixel smartphones, potentially moving away from its partnership with Samsung. Google has also faced criticism over inaccuracies and false information in search results, despite introducing new AI capabilities.

In addition, YouTube Music has introduced a unique “hum to search” feature, allowing users to find songs by humming, whistling, or singing the tune. Google is also rolling out a new payment option for in-app purchases through the Play Store, allowing users to have someone else pay.

The tech industry is abuzz with new products, features, and controversies, keeping consumers and experts intrigued and engaged.
