New WhatsApp update simplifies event planning and feedback gathering on ‘Communities’ | Technology News

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Meta announced a significant update for WhatsApp’s ‘Communities’ feature, making it easier for users to organize events and gather feedback within groups. The update allows a single WhatsApp community to support up to 100 different groups, providing a more organized and efficient way for users to interact.

With this update, users can now create events within their groups and send invites to other members. Additionally, users can reply to specific posts by admins to provide feedback or engage in discussions. Mark Zuckerberg, in a statement, mentioned that more groups will have the ability to create events in the coming months, enhancing the overall user experience.

The introduction of the Communities feature in November 2022 has been well-received by users, allowing them to create communities free of cost and connect with like-minded individuals. The latest update further streamlines the process of event planning within WhatsApp, eliminating the need for third-party apps or platforms.

Admins now have the capability to plan events directly on WhatsApp, simplifying the process and ensuring seamless communication within the community. Users can also respond to event invites, with automatic reminders close to the event date for those who have accepted the invite. Meta has confirmed that this feature will also be extended to individual groups in the near future, enhancing the overall functionality of WhatsApp’s ‘Communities’ feature.
