New World Records Achieved in Silesia and Stockholm

World record-holders Femke Bol and Mondo Duplantis are set to showcase their talents at the upcoming Wanda Diamond League meetings in Silesia and Stockholm as they gear up for their title defences.

Bol, the Dutch star, is aiming for her fourth consecutive Diamond League 400m hurdles crown at the final in Brussels in September. To prepare for this challenge, she will be competing at the Silesia Kamila Skolimowska Memorial in Chorzow, Poland on 25 August. Bol will be looking to repeat her past success in Chorzow, where she set a meeting record of 49.75 in the 400m flat in 2022.

Meanwhile, Duplantis, the pole vault sensation, is also eyeing his fourth straight Diamond League title in Brussels. He will be competing at his home meeting, the BAUHAUS-Galan in Stockholm, Sweden on 2 June. Duplantis kicked off his season in style by setting a world record of 6.24m at the Diamond League season opener in Xiamen last month.

The BAUHAUS-Galan in Stockholm will also feature top athletes like Chris Nilsen, John Ernest Obiena, Sam Kendricks, Fred Kerley, Letsile Tebogo, Alison dos Santos, and Kyron McMaster. Kerley, dos Santos, and McMaster will be looking to secure valuable points as they aim for Diamond League titles later this year.
