Newly Released Photos of Emperor Naruhito’s Family

Reading Time: < 1 minute

The Imperial Household Agency has released a heartwarming set of 21 photos of Emperor Naruhito’s family during their recent stay at a farm in Tochigi Prefecture, along with seven adorable photos of cats connected to the family.

The photos capture Emperor Naruhito, Empress Masako, and their daughter, Princess Aiko, engaging in various activities at the Imperial Stock Farm, such as cycling, harvesting vegetables, and interacting with animals. Among the photos are also snapshots taken by the emperor himself, including one where the empress holds a lamb and another showing the princess with a horse.

The family enjoyed their stay at the imperial farm during the Golden Week holiday period, from May 2 to 7. Some of the photos feature Mii and Seven, two cats living with the emperor’s family. Princess Aiko also rescued cats back in 2010 near their residence in Tokyo, and some of these feline friends are also featured in the released photos.

Empress Masako even shared some of the cat photos with guests at an imperial garden party earlier this year. The release of these heartwarming photos comes ahead of the 31st wedding anniversary of Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako, adding a touch of warmth and charm to the royal family’s public image.
