Next Generation Takes Over Newcastle Monument Business

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Newcastle’s Thomas A. Stevens Cemetery Memorials and Cemetery Restorations, a business that has been serving the community for nearly 50 years, is undergoing a change in ownership and name. Founder Thomas Stevens is passing the reins over to his son, Casey Stevens, who will now be running the business under the new name Stevens Monuments & Granite Works.

Thomas Stevens, at 70 years old, expressed his desire to retire and felt overwhelmed with running the business. He believes it is the right time to hand over the business to his son, who has been involved in the business since a young age.

Casey Stevens, a graduate of Lincoln Academy, has been actively involved in the business, working his way up the ranks in his own career. He has experience working for Lincoln County Communications and serving as the director of Lincoln County Emergency Management Agency.

The business, located at 10 Lynch Road in Newcastle, will continue to provide quality monuments and granite works for the community. Casey Stevens plans to modernize the shop with the use of computer software for stencil cutting and stone design, aiming for quicker turnaround times for customers.

Stevens Monuments & Granite Works offers a variety of services including granite benches, posts, engravings, monuments, and markers in different shapes, sizes, and colors. Customers can reach out to the business for more information through phone, email, website, or social media.

The legacy of providing quality monuments to the community will continue under the new ownership, ensuring that the business remains a valuable asset to Newcastle and beyond.
