Amnesty International Criticizes Nikki Haley for Controversial Message on Israeli Artillery Shell

Amnesty International has joined the chorus of critics condemning former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, Nikki Haley, for writing “Finish Them!” on an Israeli artillery shell during a recent visit to Israel. The visit took place amid the ongoing assault on Gaza, which has resulted in tens of thousands of deaths in the past eight months.

The controversial act was captured in an image shared on social media by Israeli politician Danny Danon, who accompanied Haley during her visit to Israel’s border with Lebanon. The image showed Haley crouched in front of pallets of shells, writing her message with a marker.

Haley’s signed message, “Finish them — America Israel, Always,” has sparked outrage and criticism from human rights groups and activists. The Israeli military and the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah have been engaged in cross-border hostilities, with Haley calling for pressure to be put on Lebanon to ensure Hezbollah faces consequences for its actions.

During her visit, Haley defended Israel’s actions in Gaza and emphasized the need to “finish” Hamas. However, her remarks and photo-op have drawn global attention and condemnation, with critics accusing her of supporting Israeli war crimes.

As the conflict in the region continues to escalate, Haley’s actions have reignited debates over the role of the U.S. in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the need for international intervention to protect civilians caught in the crossfire.
