The prestigious EY Entrepreneur of the Year (EOY) Malaysia award is back for its 23rd edition, calling for nominations from the public and business community until June 30. This year, the theme is “The Art of Entrepreneurship”, celebrating entrepreneurs who are reshaping Malaysia’s economy with innovative approaches.
The award features four categories – emerging, technology, woman, and master, with the overall country winner representing Malaysia at the EY World Entrepreneur of the Year (WEOY) in 2025. The programme director, Philip Rao, emphasizes the blend of passion, drive, and expertise required for entrepreneurs to address today’s challenges and create a better working world.
The EOY Malaysia award has become a vital part of the local entrepreneurial ecosystem, honoring over 300 entrepreneurs across various industries. Rao encourages all Malaysian entrepreneurs to participate, regardless of size or background, as their stories deserve recognition.
Nominees will be evaluated based on entrepreneurial spirit, purpose, growth, and impact by independent judges following globally benchmarked criteria. Last year’s winner, Datuk Foong Wei Kuong, will represent Malaysia at the WEOY in Monte Carlo, competing with entrepreneurs from 47 other countries.
Established in 1986, the EOY award is a global programme supporting entrepreneurs worldwide. With regional and national awards in over 60 countries, it boasts a network of over 30,000 distinguished entrepreneurs.
