McLaren’s Lando Norris Believes Team is Back in Business

After narrowly missing out on his second win in the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, Lando Norris is confident that McLaren will be a force to be reckoned with in the upcoming races. The British driver finished just 0.725 seconds behind Max Verstappen of Red Bull, who claimed victory in the race.

Norris, who secured his maiden win in Miami two weeks prior, expressed his frustration at missing out on the top spot but remained optimistic about the team’s performance. He stated, “I think we’re now at the point where we can happily say we are in the position of Ferrari and Red Bull and that’s what we have to get used to now.”

McLaren team boss Zak Brown echoed Norris’s sentiments, predicting that the team would secure more wins with Norris and Oscar Piastri behind the wheel. Brown stated, “We have all the ingredients now. We’ve got a driver pairing that I would not exchange for anyone else and I think we can expect them to be winning more races this year.”

Despite the disappointment of not clinching the win, Norris highlighted the positives from the race and praised Verstappen for his performance. He joked about needing to make more friends on the grid to gain an advantage in future races.

Overall, Norris’s strong performance in the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix has instilled confidence in McLaren’s ability to compete at the highest level, setting the stage for an exciting season ahead.
