Norse Atlantic Airways, the Norway-based low-cost carrier that made waves with its launch in 2022, has made a surprising move by cutting its seasonal route from Miami to Paris. The airline had initially launched the route with much fanfare back in December, operating four times a week between Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport and Miami International Airport.

However, the seasonal service came to an abrupt end in April and Norse Atlantic Airways has now confirmed that the route will not be resumed in December as planned. The decision to axe the Miami to Paris route was driven by the airline’s assessment of profitability, according to travel industry analyst Henry Harteveldt.

Norse Atlantic Airways, known for its low-cost, long-haul flights across the Atlantic using Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, has redirected its resources to other routes that are expected to perform better. The airline recently added a new route from Los Angeles International Airport to Paris, but that service is currently only available during the summer.

With the termination of the Miami to Paris route, budget travelers are left with limited options for affordable transatlantic flights. While Air France and American Airlines continue to serve the Paris market from Miami, the absence of Norse Atlantic Airways means that travelers may miss out on the incredible deals that were previously available on the route.
