North Bay Tourism re-launches travel app

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Tourism North Bay is excited to announce the re-launch of its Driftscape application, aimed at enhancing the travel experience for residents and visitors alike. This innovative app offers a unique way to explore North Bay’s natural beauty, cultural heritage, and community through interactive maps, self-guided tours, and points of interest scattered throughout the city.

Partnering with various local organizations such as the City of North Bay’s Economic Development Department and Public Library, Tourism North Bay has worked diligently to create a platform that not only showcases the city’s hidden gems but also encourages residents to appreciate the assets right in their own backyard.

Tanya Bédard, Executive Director of Tourism North Bay, expressed her enthusiasm for the app, stating, “By embracing digital tourism, we aim to make North Bay more accessible and enjoyable for everyone.”

The Driftscape app, initially introduced in 2020, was unable to reach its full potential due to pandemic-related restrictions. However, with new features and enhancements, users can now explore historical sites, upcoming events, local attractions, and accommodation offerings with ease.

Key features of the app include interactive maps, self-guided tours, multimedia content, event listings, and a comprehensive guide to North Bay’s dining options. The app is available for free download on both iOS and Android devices, making it easily accessible to all.

With Driftscape, residents and visitors can immerse themselves in all that North Bay has to offer, making exploration and appreciation of the city’s assets more enjoyable than ever before.
