North Star excels in No. 1 doubles, East takes lead in Class A team competition

Lincoln North Star seniors Abby Lottman and Brynn Person are making waves on the tennis court as a dynamic doubles team. The pair, who previously played together in volleyball, have found success in tennis as well, advancing to the semifinals of the Class A state tournament.

Lottman and Person, seeded No. 2, breezed through three victories at the state tournament, culminating in a quarterfinal win over the No. 7 seeds from Omaha Marian. Their chemistry and competitive spirit have been key to their success on the court.

Coach Jeremy Jank praised the duo for their multi-sport athleticism and competitive drive, noting that they have quickly become a formidable team this season. Despite facing tough competition, Lottman and Person have maintained a strong record this spring, with their only losses coming to the No. 1 seeds.

The Lincoln teams are dominating the doubles competition, with three pairs still in contention for the gold medal. Lottman and Person will face a tough challenge in the semifinals against the third-seeded duo from Millard North, but they are determined to continue their winning streak.
