NSE warns against stock investment-related calls from these two numbers

Reading Time: < 1 minute

The National Stock Exchange (NSE) has issued a warning to investors about the dangers of sharing their login credentials with individuals claiming to be associated with registered entities of the exchange. In a recent press release, the NSE highlighted the case of two individuals, Makhan Prajapati and Rakesh Sharma, who are falsely representing themselves as brokers from “Choice broking” and operating through the mobile number 9977690997.

These fraudsters have been offering securities market tips for trading and asking investors to share their login credentials, putting investors at risk of financial loss. The NSE also identified another mobile number, 9112569388, associated with a person named Kuldeep Valiya claiming to be from “R K Global Shares & Securities Limited” and warned investors against accepting trading tips from him.

While Choice Equity Broking Private Limited and R K Global Shares & Securities Limited are legitimate trading members of the exchange, the individuals mentioned above are not associated with them. The NSE emphasized the importance of verifying the registration status of a stockbroker before investing with them to avoid financial losses and legal consequences.

To assist investors in verifying the legitimacy of stockbrokers, the NSE has provided an online tracker on its website where users can check the registration details of brokers. By visiting https://www.nseindia.com/invest/find-a-stock-broker, investors can ensure that they are dealing with authorized entities and protect themselves from falling victim to fraudulent schemes.
