NUSACC, Leading Commercial Gateway to the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), Honored with U.S. President’s “E Star Award” for Export Excellence

Reading Time: 2 minutes

The National U.S.-Arab Chamber of Commerce (NUSACC) has made history once again by becoming the only Chamber in the United States to receive the prestigious E Star Award twice. This recognition highlights NUSACC’s exceptional service to the U.S. business community and its significant contributions to national export expansion efforts.

The Honorable Gina Raimondo, U.S. Secretary of Commerce, commended NUSACC for its achievements, stating that the organization’s efforts have supported the U.S. economy and created American jobs. She specifically mentioned NUSACC’s innovative digital certification programs and its support of trade missions, both inbound and outbound, as notable contributions to the export industry.

In recent months, NUSACC has introduced a groundbreaking digital, blockchain-based certification platform that streamlines commercial documentation processes for U.S. exporters. This platform, the first of its kind in the United States, has already had a significant impact on facilitating trade activities and boosting efficiency for businesses.

During the award ceremony, NUSACC was praised for its leadership and dedication to connecting U.S. companies with the Arab world. Led by David Hamod, the Chamber has worked tirelessly to increase access to opportunities through various initiatives such as e-documentation services, trade missions, roundtables, and networking events like their annual Iftar dinner.

Established over 50 years ago, NUSACC is America’s longest-serving organization focused on strengthening U.S.-Arab commercial relations. It is the only business entity in the United States officially recognized and authorized by the Arab League and the Union of Arab Chambers. With a vast network of partners across the USA and the Arab world, NUSACC is widely regarded as the voice of American business in the MENA region.

One of NUSACC’s key partners, the U.S. Commercial Service – Virginia and Washington DC, nominated the Chamber for the E Star Award. This close collaboration between the two entities has been instrumental in supporting American exporters and workers, showcasing the benefits of a strong public-private partnership.

NUSACC’s recognition with the E Star Award underscores its commitment to promoting trade and economic growth between the U.S. and the Arab world. The Chamber’s ongoing efforts to facilitate business opportunities and foster international cooperation have been instrumental in advancing bilateral relations and driving mutual prosperity.
