NYT Connections: Clues and Solutions for Friday, June 7

Reading Time: < 1 minute

The New York Times has launched a new puzzle game called Connections that is taking the gaming world by storm. The objective of the game is to categorize a pool of 16 words into four secret groups by identifying how they relate to each other. The game resets every night at midnight with varying levels of difficulty, similar to the popular game Wordle.

Players can track their winning streak and compare scores with friends, adding a competitive element to the game. Each group of words is color-coded, with the yellow group being the easiest to figure out, followed by green, blue, and purple.

To play Connections, players must organize the words into sets of four by identifying the connections that link them. Themes could range from titles of video game franchises to names of chain restaurants. Players can shuffle the grid of words and rearrange them to help visualize the connections.

If players are having trouble solving the puzzle, hints and tips are available to assist them. The game allows for only four mistakes before it ends, adding to the challenge.

Today’s themes include “DREAM UP,” “THIN COVERING,” “REMOVE, AS CRUMBS,” and “VERBS FOR A SOFTWARE ENGINEER.” One-word reveals for each theme are also provided to help players solve the puzzle.

Connections is designed to be difficult and engaging, with grids that vary daily. Players are encouraged to check back daily for new challenges and puzzles.
