NYT Connections: Clues and Solutions for Friday, May 17

Reading Time: < 1 minute

The New York Times has launched a new puzzle game called Connections, challenging players to categorize a pool of 16 words into four secret groups by identifying how they relate to each other. Similar to the popular game Wordle, Connections resets every night at midnight with varying levels of difficulty.

Players must organize the words into sets of four by recognizing the connections that bind them together. These connections could range from titles of video game franchises to names of chain restaurants. Each group is color-coded, with the yellow group being the easiest to figure out and the purple group being the most challenging.

If players are struggling to solve the puzzle, they can receive hints and tips to guide them towards the correct answers. The game allows players to shuffle the grid of words and rearrange them to help visualize the potential connections.

Today’s themes include “CORRUPT,” “REACH OUT TO,” “CLASSIC STILL LIFE COMPONENTS,” and “BEER ___.” Players can also receive one-word hints for each theme to assist them in solving the puzzle.

Connections offers a unique and engaging gameplay experience that changes daily, ensuring players are constantly challenged. If players are unable to solve today’s puzzle, they can always come back tomorrow for a new challenge.
