The New York Times has launched a new puzzle game called Connections, challenging players to categorize a pool of 16 words into four secret groups by identifying how they relate to each other. The game resets daily at midnight with varying levels of difficulty, similar to the popular game Wordle. Players can track their winning streak and compare scores with friends.

In Connections, players are presented with a grid of 16 words and must organize them into sets of four by recognizing the connections between them. These connections could be based on themes like video game titles, book series sequels, shades of red, or chain restaurant names. While some words may seem to fit multiple themes, there is only one correct answer.

Each group is color-coded, with the yellow group being the easiest to solve, followed by green, blue, and purple. Players can shuffle the grid of words to help visualize the connections better. By selecting four words and submitting them, players can reveal the theme connecting them. However, they only have four mistakes allowed before the game ends.

For those struggling with today’s puzzle, the themes have been revealed as “BODY PARTS IN ‘HEAD, SHOULDERS, KNEES AND TOES’, CAR INFORMALLY, REMOVES THE COVERING OF, and ‘BUZZY’ THINGS.” Additionally, one word from each group has been provided as a hint. The game is designed to be challenging, but players can check back daily for new puzzles to solve.
