NYT Connections: Monday, May 20 – Hints and Answers

Reading Time: < 1 minute

The New York Times has launched a new puzzle game called Connections that is sure to challenge your brainpower. In this game, players are presented with a grid of 16 words and must categorize them into four groups based on the connections between the words. The game resets every night at midnight, offering a new challenge each day with varying levels of difficulty.

Similar to the popular game Wordle, Connections allows players to track their winning streak and compete with friends to see who can solve the puzzles the fastest. Some days may prove trickier than others, but fear not, as the game provides hints and tips to help you along the way.

To play Connections, you must identify the themes that link the words together and organize them into four sets of four. Each group is color-coded, with the yellow group being the easiest to figure out, followed by green, blue, and purple. If you guess correctly, the words will be removed from the grid, revealing the theme connecting them. However, be careful, as you only have four mistakes before the game ends.

Today’s themes include “Sorcerer’s Output,” “One Being Manipulated,” “Classic Superhero Wear,” and “Action Movie Directors.” If you’re still struggling to solve the puzzle, the answers are provided at the end to help you out. So, put your thinking cap on and see if you can crack the code in today’s challenging Connections puzzle.
