New York City is about to bid farewell to one of its most beloved Hilton properties, the Conrad New York Midtown. Hilton Honors loyalists looking to enjoy an award stay or earn points at this iconic hotel will have until early June to do so before it exits the Hilton portfolio.

In a statement provided to TPG, Hilton confirmed the termination of the management agreement for the Conrad New York Midtown, effective June 4, 2024. The decision was described as amicable, allowing both parties to explore new opportunities. Hilton reassured guests that they will work with the hotel’s new management company to ensure a seamless transition.

While the future of the luxury hotel remains uncertain, there are still opportunities to book award nights at the Conrad New York Midtown until June 4, starting at 95,000 points. Cash rates for the same period range between $500 and $700 per night.

As Hilton bids farewell to the Conrad New York Midtown, the company is gearing up for the reopening of the Waldorf Astoria in New York City. The iconic hotel is set to welcome guests this year after an extensive renovation that will blend the original design with modern decor in its 375 rooms.

While the loss of the Conrad New York Midtown is significant for Hilton, it presents an opportunity for competitors like Marriott or Hyatt to potentially manage the property under their luxury brands. In the meantime, guests are encouraged to explore other Hilton properties in the city or await further updates on the future of the Conrad New York Midtown.
