Oscar Brown Receives WCC All-Academic Recognition

In an exciting announcement, Portland men’s tennis senior Oscar Brown has been named to the 2024 WCC Men’s Tennis All-Academic Team. Brown, who boasts an impressive 3.79 cumulative grade point average while majoring in philosophy, has proven himself both on and off the court.

Throughout the season, Brown has been a standout player for the Pilots, with a 12-13 overall singles record and an 8-8 record in dual matches. He has also excelled in doubles play, boasting a 10-4 overall record and a perfect 4-0 record in WCC matches with partner Stefan Skobelev.

In addition to Brown’s recognition, Portland senior Nikolas Tvedt received honorable mention academic recognition for his achievements both academically and athletically.

The Pilots have qualified for the 2024 WCC Tournament and are set to face off against the Pacific Tigers in the opening round on Thursday at 10 a.m. The tournament will take place at the Aztec Tennis Center on the San Diego State University campus.
