Reading Time: < 1 minute

The Indiana Pacers made history on Thursday night by winning a playoff series for the first time in a decade, defeating the Milwaukee Bucks 120-98 in Game 6. Obi Toppin led the Pacers with 21 points, while T.J. McConnell contributed 20 points and nine assists in the victory.

The Pacers will now advance to the Eastern Conference semifinals where they will face the winner of the Philadelphia-New York series. This milestone victory for Indiana came 30 years after their first playoff series win in franchise history.

Despite the absence of Giannis Antetokounmpo, the Bucks put up a fight with Damian Lillard returning from injury and scoring 28 points. Bobby Portis Jr. and Brook Lopez each added 20 points for Milwaukee, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Pacers’ strong performance.

Indiana dominated the Bucks throughout the season, going 8-3 against them and handing Milwaukee their second straight first-round exit. The Pacers took control early in Game 6 with a 23-3 first-quarter run and never looked back, responding to every Bucks comeback attempt with a scoring run of their own.

The atmosphere at Gainbridge Fieldhouse was electric as the Pacers secured the series win, with fans cheering on the team as they closed out the game. With their impressive victory, the Pacers have set the stage for an exciting Eastern Conference semifinals matchup.
