COTTLEVILLE — St. Louis natives Stephen and Emily Savage are making waves in the community with their latest venture, Cottle Village. Situated on four and a half acres of lush greenery in Cottleville, the development is set to become a hub of entertainment and hospitality.
The Savages, known for their successful restaurants and entertainment venues in downtown St. Louis, saw a need for a large neighborhood restaurant and multi-venue space in the area. After purchasing the land last October, they began the transformation into what will soon be Cottle Village.
Initially met with skepticism from nearby residents, concerns were quickly alleviated after Stephen Savage shared his vision with the community. Construction is already underway, with the businesses expected to open by the end of the year.
The centerpiece of Cottle Village will be the Tavern, a 270-seat restaurant and bar housed in a renovated farmhouse. The adjacent distillery and patio will offer tastings and bottle purchases, while the Field will host a seasonal food stand, live music, and various events.
With a $6 million investment and the creation of 100 new jobs, Cottle Village is poised to become a staple in the Cottleville community. The Savages hope to enhance the area’s offerings and support its continued growth with this exciting new development.
