Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have joined forces to call for an immediate cease-fire and uninterrupted delivery of humanitarian aid in Gaza. Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan, during his visit to Islamabad, expressed concern over the “wholly insufficient” international efforts towards a cease-fire between Israel and Hamas.

Addressing the potential for famine in Gaza, Prince Faisal emphasized the urgent need for humanitarian assistance to reach the starving population. He warned against further escalation in the already unstable region, stressing the importance of de-escalation as a top priority for all parties involved.

The recent Israel-Hamas conflict, which began on Oct. 7, has resulted in devastating casualties on both sides. Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar condemned the killings in Gaza as “genocide” and called for immediate action to stop the bloodshed. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also met with Prince Faisal to discuss closer cooperation and investment opportunities between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

In a show of solidarity, Saudi Arabia has pledged a significant investment of $5 billion in Pakistan, with previous deposits of $2 billion to boost the country’s foreign exchange reserves. The two nations are working together to address the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and promote peace in the region.

As tensions continue to rise, the call for a cease-fire and humanitarian aid in Gaza remains a top priority for Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. The world watches as these two influential nations take a stand for peace and stability in the Middle East.
