Palladium Hotel Group Makes Grand Entrance into the Middle East with Al Marjan Island Project

Dubai – Palladium Hotel Group, a renowned luxury hotel brand, is making waves in the Middle East with its latest project on Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah. Teaming up with Al Marjan and Almal Real Estate Development, the hotel group is set to invest over $100 million in a groundbreaking project that will combine hotel accommodations with luxury branded residences.

This exciting venture marks the international expansion of the iconic Ibiza-born brand, now rebranded as Ushuaïa Unexpected Hotels & Residences. The project will feature 442 hotel rooms and residential units, making it the first international opening for the brand. Situated on Al Marjan Island, a premier tourist and investment destination in the region, the hotel and residential facility will boast a sophisticated beach club, exquisite restaurant, and captivating infinity pool overlooking the picturesque Arabian Gulf.

Jesús Sobrino, CEO of Palladium Hotel Group, expressed his excitement about the project, stating, “This is a triple milestone for the company, as we announce our arrival in the Middle East and the growth of an emblematic brand for Palladium Hotel Group, as well as the group’s first foray into the branded residences segment.”

Dmytro Starovoitov, Co-Founder of Almal Development, shared his enthusiasm for the collaboration, highlighting the unmatched luxury and sophistication that the project will bring to the region. Arch. Abdulla Al Abdouli, CEO of Marjan, also expressed his excitement about the project, emphasizing the commitment to providing unparalleled experiences for residents and guests on Al Marjan Island.

The project represents a significant evolution for the Ushuaïa brand, known for its pioneering luxury accommodations and high-quality entertainment offerings. The launch of The Unexpected Hotels & Residences collection under the Ushuaïa brand will introduce a new business segment focused on branded residences, taking luxury and exclusivity to new heights.

The rebranding will be implemented gradually, starting with the existing Ibiza property at the end of the 2024 summer season and culminating with the renovation of The Ushuaïa Tower by 2025, which will be renamed The Unexpected Ibiza Hotel. The iconic establishment in Playa d’en Bossa will continue to offer unique accommodation, gastronomy, and entertainment experiences to visitors.

By 2026, the brand will make its international debut with the opening of The Unexpected Al Marjan Island Hotel and The Unexpected Al Marjan Island Residences, further solidifying its presence in the global luxury hospitality market.

Overall, the Palladium Hotel Group’s foray into the Middle East with the Al Marjan Island project marks a significant milestone for the brand and sets the stage for a new era of luxury hospitality in the region. With its innovative approach and commitment to delivering exceptional experiences, the brand is poised to make a lasting impact on the Middle Eastern hospitality landscape.
