New Orleans Construction Firm Plans Major Expansion in Jefferson Parish

One of New Orleans’ leading construction firms, RNGD, formerly known as Palmisano Construction, is gearing up for a significant expansion in Jefferson Parish. The company is considering relocating its corporate offices as part of the expansion, which will focus on manufacturing building components and assembling them in a factory.

The $26 million expansion project will take place near the Earhart Expressway in the Labarre Business Park. It will include a new training academy for construction workers and new corporate offices for the company, which is currently based in the Lower Garden District.

CEO Wes Palmisano is in talks with Jefferson Parish for a multi-year property tax break to facilitate the move. The expansion is expected to create 250 to 260 permanent new jobs over the next five years, more than doubling RNGD’s current workforce, with an annual payroll of over $37.8 million.

The plans are still tentative, pending negotiations with JEDCO, but Palmisano hopes to make an announcement soon. The company’s long-term vision is to expand its prefabrication facility to enhance efficiency in building projects.

RNGD’s focus on off-site, modular construction aligns with Palmisano’s goal of streamlining the construction process. The company’s expansion plans include building new manufacturing and steel fabrication facilities, as well as a training academy for employees.

The potential tax incentives being discussed with Jefferson Parish could further support RNGD’s growth and job creation efforts. Palmisano’s commitment to innovation and efficiency in construction positions RNGD for continued success in the industry.
