Pamela Anderson to headline in new Naked Gun reboot

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Pamela Anderson is set to make a big-screen comeback in the upcoming remake of “Naked Gun” alongside Liam Neeson. The Paramount Pictures comedy, directed by Akiva Schaffer and written by Dan Gregor, Doug Mand, and Schaffer, is a modern take on the classic crime spoof comedies from the late 1980s and early 1990s.

The original “Naked Gun” movie, based on the television series “Police Squad!” and starring Leslie Nielsen as the bumbling detective Frank Drebin, was a hit with audiences for its hilarious take on police shows and films. In the remake, Neeson will take on the role of Drebin, with Anderson playing his love interest, a role originally portrayed by Priscilla Presley.

Seth MacFarlane and Erica Huggins are producing the film through their company Fuzzy Door, with Schaffer serving as an executive producer alongside Daniel M. Stillman. The movie is scheduled for release on July 18, 2025.

Anderson, known for her iconic role in “Baywatch” and her tumultuous personal life, has recently been in the spotlight again thanks to the Hulu mini-series “Pam & Tommy” and the Netflix documentary “Pamela, A Love Story.” Her return to mainstream comedy opposite an acclaimed actor like Neeson marks a new chapter in her diverse career.

Fans can look forward to seeing Anderson bring her signature mix of sexiness and goofiness to the big screen once again in this highly anticipated remake.
