Pan American and Kramer have recently released their record, “Reverberations of Non-Stop Traffic on Redding Road,” and are now sharing a new piece of ambient cinema for the track “Groundwater.” The duo’s inspiration for the new piece came from a dream that Kramer had, where two ghost Titanics met on the sea and he realized he was the iceberg that would sink both ships, with the music of Gavin Bryars playing softly in the background.
The album, released last month, has received high praise from critics. Connor Patrick Ryan of Silent Radio UK described “Groundwater” as having strong instrumentation that reminded him of one of his favorite albums. Paul Simpson of AllMusic compared the track to the moodiness of certain DJ Shadow tracks, transporting the listener to a reflective zone.
“Groundwater” and the rest of “Reverberations of Non-Stop Traffic on Redding Road” are now available via Shimmy-Disc. The track listing for the album includes songs like “Floating Island,” “Aquaculture,” and “The Miner’s Pale Child.”
Fans of ambient music and cinematic soundscapes will surely appreciate the unique and dream-like quality of Pan American and Kramer’s latest release. Be sure to check out “Reverberations of Non-Stop Traffic on Redding Road” for a truly immersive listening experience.
