Paramount Global is in talks with Skydance Media for an exclusive merger, bypassing a $26 billion offer from Apollo Global Management. The deal, if successful, would mark the end of Shari Redstone’s control over the media empire built by her late father, Sumner Redstone. This move comes as part of a two-step process that is more advanced than the offer from the U.S. private equity firm.
