Participants revealed for 2024 NCAA Division I women’s tennis championship

The NCAA Division I Women’s Tennis Championship is set to kick off with 64 teams vying for the national title. The selection committee has announced the teams and sites for the first and second rounds, with the top 16 seeds guaranteed to host if they meet the criteria.

The competition will take place on May 3-4 or May 4-5, with four teams playing in a single-elimination format. The winners will advance to the super-regional competition on May 10 or 11, where they will face off in a single-elimination format. The ultimate goal is to make it to the Greenwood Tennis Center in Stillwater, Oklahoma, where the eight remaining teams will compete for the national championship from May 17-19.

The matches will follow regulation dual match rules, with three doubles matches and six singles matches determining the winner. No-ad scoring and tiebreakers will be used to keep the matches fast-paced and exciting.

Thirty-one conferences have received automatic qualification into the championship, with teams like North Carolina, Stanford, and Georgia leading the pack. Each conference’s automatic qualifier is listed, showcasing the diversity and talent in women’s college tennis.
