In a highly anticipated clash in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, Pat Cummins and Virat Kohli will face off as Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) take on Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Thursday, April 25. Cummins, the SRH skipper, had nothing but praise for Kohli, calling him ‘super competitive’ on the field.
Kohli, who is currently the leading run-scorer of the tournament, has been in exceptional form, scoring 379 runs from 8 matches at an average of 63.16. Despite RCB’s struggles in the tournament, Kohli has been a standout performer with a century against Rajasthan Royals to his name.
Cummins, who was bought by SRH for a whopping INR 20.50 crore, has impressed with his leadership skills. Under his captaincy, SRH have emerged as a fearless unit, winning 5 out of 7 matches and are strong contenders for the playoffs. Cummins himself has been a key contributor with 9 wickets in 7 games.
Speaking about Kohli, Cummins said, “My favourite memory of Virat… can I say whenever I get him out? Someone who has played so much cricket, I admire how much he gets out of the game, gets into the contest whether he’s batting or field. He plays 100 days a year, and he’s up for every single one of those games. So, we are both super competitive.”
With both teams looking to secure a crucial win, all eyes will be on the battle between Cummins and Kohli as they look to lead their respective teams to victory.
