Sony is bringing the joy of PlayStation Trophy hunting to PC gamers with a new update that will allow them to earn Trophies on their best gaming PCs. The bespoke PlayStation overlay will give PC gamers access to their PlayStation Network account, Friends list, and profile page, as well as the ability to earn Trophies.
The first game to support this feature will be Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut, set to release on PC on May 16. This highly acclaimed game offers a fun trophy list that extends the gameplay experience for players.
Trophies earned on the PSN account on PS5 will transfer over to PC, and vice versa, allowing gamers to continue their trophy hunting across platforms. PlayStation Trophies come in four varieties: bronze, silver, gold, and platinum, with the platinum trophy being the ultimate achievement for completionists.
Sony’s move to bring Trophies to PC is part of their ongoing support for the PC gaming space. The company has hinted at more PS5 games coming to PC in the future, including big titles like God of War Ragnarök, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, and The Last of Us Part II Remastered.
With the addition of Trophies on PC, Sony is aiming to attract more PC gamers to their ecosystem. The satisfying “pop” sound of earning a Trophy is sure to hook PC gamers just as it has millions of PlayStation gamers over the years. Get ready to start your trophy hunting journey on PC soon!
