Dr. Isaac Pearlstone Named Head Tennis Coach at Iowa Central

Iowa Central Community College has announced the appointment of Dr. Isaac Pearlstone as the new head men’s and women’s tennis coach. Pearlstone, who brings over a decade of coaching experience to the role, will be taking over from interim head coach Kenneth Michaud.

A graduate of Truman State University with degrees in history and elementary education, Pearlstone furthered his education by earning a Doctor of Educational Leadership from Maryville University. His coaching experience includes stints at Saint Louis University and Parkway High School in St. Louis.

Athletic director Kevin Twait expressed his excitement about Pearlstone joining the Iowa Central team, citing his experience and dedication to building a strong team culture. Pearlstone, in turn, expressed his gratitude for the opportunity and his eagerness to lead the men’s and women’s tennis programs to success.

During his time as an assistant coach at Saint Louis University, Pearlstone helped the program achieve its best win percentage and a Top-100 ranking. He also has a successful playing career, with a record of 52-18 as a United States Tennis Association player and victories in leagues such as World Team and Gladiator.

In addition to his coaching credentials, Pearlstone is the founder of Pearlstone Tennis, a company that provides instruction to athletes through video review and educational pedagogy. With his wealth of experience and passion for the sport, Pearlstone is poised to make a significant impact on the Iowa Central tennis program and lead the teams to new heights of success.
