Peller Joins Global Entrepreneurship Festival Board

Former House of Representatives member, Honourable Shina Peller, has been appointed to the event board for the upcoming Global Entrepreneurship Festival set to take place from 11th to 13th November 2024 at Entrepreneurship Village in Akure, Ondo State.

Peller’s appointment was confirmed in an official letter from Entrepreneurship Village CEO, Sunil Santanam, who highlighted Peller’s background, commitment to entrepreneurship, and empowerment of women and youth as key qualifications for the role.

Joining Peller on the board are prominent figures such as Dr. Summy Smart Francis, Dr. Joy Smart Francis, Professor Emeritus Stephen Read, Dustin Plantholt, Nancy Taiye Aragbaye, Jim Jurewicz, Chloe Arnold, Sylvia Maseko, Aloke Sharma, Wanle Akinboboye, and many others.

Expressing his excitement about the appointment, Honourable Peller, also known as the Ayedero of Yorubaland, stated his eagerness to contribute to the E-Village project and the Global Entrepreneurship Festival. He praised E-Village as Africa’s Silicon Valley, aimed at revolutionizing education and fostering a comprehensive ecosystem for young talents and startups.

The Global Entrepreneurship Festival, part of the Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) 2024, celebrates and empowers entrepreneurs worldwide, especially those facing barriers to starting a business. The event, organized by Africa’s Young Entrepreneurs (AYE), will feature 12 events including conferences, trade fairs, boot camps, business pitches, networking sessions, and more.

Notable guests and speakers at the festival include Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, Mrs. Folorunsho Alakija, Barack Obama, Cherie Blair, Akinwumi Adesina, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Melinda Gates, and other global business leaders and influencers. The festival aims to catalyze a thriving global entrepreneurial ecosystem and drive meaningful exchanges to shape the future of enterprise.
