Phillips from Silver Valley Sports earns spot on All-State team

Senior basketball standout Britany Phillips from Wallace High School was recently selected to the 1A All-Idaho second team, showcasing her exceptional skills on the court. Standing at 5 feet 9 inches, Phillips proved to be a force to be reckoned with, averaging a double-double with 22.9 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 5.1 steals per game for the Miners.

Coach Nichole Farkas expressed her pride in Phillips, highlighting her dedication to improving her game over the years. Despite Wallace High School not qualifying for the state tournament, Phillips stood out among the other selections, all of which came from teams that placed in the top four at the 1A State Tournament.

In addition to her All-State selection, Phillips was also named the Scenic Idaho Conference’s player of the year, further solidifying her status as a standout athlete. Looking ahead, Phillips is set to continue her basketball career at Yakima Valley College in the Northwest Athletic Conference.

The Idaho High School All-State selections, announced by the Idaho Statesman, recognized other regional talents as well. Players like Teagan Colvin, Avery Waddington, and Sophia Zufelt from Coeur d’Alene and Lake City made the 5A girls first team, showcasing the depth of talent in Idaho high school basketball.
