Nothing Inc’s Phone 3 Delayed Until Next Year, Focus on Gen AI Integration
In a surprising turn of events, Nothing Inc’s CEO Carl Pei announced that the much-anticipated Phone 3 will not be released this year as originally planned. The company, known for its innovative approach to technology, is taking extra time to integrate generative Artificial Intelligence (gen AI) capabilities into the device to ensure the best user experience possible.
While the Phone 2 was praised for its camera hardware and processor upgrades, it faced some initial bugs that were later resolved through software updates. To avoid similar issues with the Phone 3, Nothing Inc will conduct more rigorous testing to deliver a high-quality device to customers early next year.
Carl Pei emphasized the importance of personalization in AI technology, stating, “Nothing’s belief that the smartphone is the undeniable form factor leading the consumer AI technology revolution.” He highlighted the need to redefine the user interface to create a highly personalized and dynamic user experience with AI integration at a system level.
In related news, Nothing Inc’s sub-brand CMF is set to launch its first-ever phone in India. The CMF Phone 1 series is teased to feature an orange-colored vegan leather back panel, catering to the budget segment with an expected price tag under Rs 15,000.
