PHS boys finish as runners-up at Dick Dei tournament | Latest updates on News, Sports, and Job Opportunities

Parkersburg’s Jack Mills emerged victorious at the Dick Dei Track Classic, clocking in with a time of 9:38.78 in the 3200-meter race. Despite Mills’ impressive performance, the Parkersburg boys’ team finished as runners-up to Olentangy Liberty with a score of 147-77.

Teammate Connor George also put up a strong showing, securing third place with a time of 9:55.42. Magnolia’s Landen Davis claimed the second spot with a time of 9:52.83. The only other point for the Blue Eagles came from Matthew Anderson in the shot put event.

While no other Parkersburg boys claimed the top spot in their events, there were notable performances from Landen Deuley and Jackson Wharton, who finished second and third in the 400-meter race. The team of Deuley, Wharton, Conner Petty, and Christian Rutherford closed out the meet with a victory in the 4×4 relay.

Additional contributions from Tyler Shahan, Jake Bauman, and other team members helped Parkersburg secure a strong second-place finish overall. The team will look to build on this success as they prepare for the upcoming Russ Parsons Invitational at Stadium Field next Saturday.
