Pioneers Engage in Sessions at the Second Arab Youth Media Forum and 22nd Arab Media Forum on Business, Economy, and Finance

The Arab Media Summit 2024, hosted by the Dubai Media Council, showcased the contributions of Emirati media pioneers who have played a significant role in the development of the local industry. The sessions, spanning across the second Arab Youth Media Forum and the 22nd Arab Media Forum, aimed to celebrate the achievements of these pioneers and pass on their knowledge and experience to the younger generation to further enhance the sector’s growth.

The Dubai Media Pioneers sessions were a testament to the commitment of the Dubai Media Council in realizing the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, in recognizing and valuing the efforts that have driven the UAE’s progress across all sectors, including media. Her Excellency Nehal Badri, Secretary General of the Dubai Media Council, emphasized the influential role played by Dubai’s media pioneers in establishing and developing the local media sector. She praised their contributions and highlighted their impact on the current state of the industry, hoping that their legacy continues to inspire future generations of media professionals.

The sessions hosted distinguished media professionals who have excelled in their fields and contributed significantly to the ongoing development of media in the UAE. The Dubai Media Council aims to bridge the gap between young media professionals and the pioneering generation, enabling them to benefit from their rich expertise and experience. Hamda Alnajjar, Senior Executive of Project Management at the Dubai Media Council, stressed the importance of these gatherings for youth to interact with prominent media figures and absorb experiences that can inspire them to strive for excellence in the industry.

During the Arab Youth Media Forum, sessions featuring Dubai’s media pioneers included ‘The Art of Directing’ with director Khaled Habib Al Redha, ‘Starting Your Own Media Company’ with Abdullatif Alsayegh, Founder and Chairman of Al Sayegh Media Group, and ‘Sports Media’ with sports journalist Mohammad Al Joker. The Arab Media Forum also featured sessions such as ‘The Future of Media’ with TV director Suhail Al Abdool and ‘From Paper to Pixel: Writing Across Eras’ with author Ayesha Sultan. The second day of the forum included sessions like ‘Once A Storyteller, Always A Storyteller’ with journalist Mohammed bin Thani and ‘Inspiring Stories’ with presenter Thani Juma.

The sessions provided a unique platform for aspiring professionals to engage with accomplished figures who have shaped the industry and are dedicated to conveying meaningful messages to society. The Dubai Media Council remains committed to launching initiatives that equip young media professionals with the necessary tools to shape the future of media. The event was a celebration of the past, a learning experience for the present, and an inspiration for the future of the media industry in the UAE.
