Reading Time: < 1 minute

In a thrilling NBA matchup on Monday night, the Memphis Grizzlies narrowly defeated the Detroit Pistons with a final score of 110-108. The standout player of the game was Jaren Jackson Jr., who scored an impressive 40 points, with 27 of those coming in the second half. Grizzlies coach Taylor Jenkins praised Jackson’s performance, especially since transitioning to the center position earlier in the season.

Despite trailing by 13 points at halftime, the Grizzlies mounted a comeback in the second half, led by Jackson’s explosive scoring. Cade Cunningham of the Pistons also had a strong showing with 36 points, but ultimately missed a potential game-tying shot as time expired.

Former Piston Luke Kennard contributed 19 points and eight assists for the Grizzlies, helping them secure the much-needed victory after a series of losses. The game was a back-and-forth battle, with both teams fighting hard until the final buzzer.

The Pistons, on the other hand, have struggled recently, losing nine of their last 10 games. Despite a strong first half performance from Cunningham and Jaden Ivey, they were unable to hold off the Grizzlies in the second half.

Looking ahead, the Grizzlies will face the Milwaukee Bucks next, while the Pistons will take on the Atlanta Hawks in their next game. Fans can expect more exciting matchups and intense competition as the NBA season continues.
