Police in Toronto charge three individuals after man is slashed in North Toronto

Three suspects, including two youths, have been charged after a man was slashed in north Toronto last month, according to police reports. The incident took place on April 1 in the Yonge Street and Finch Avenue West area, where officers responded to a call for a stabbing.

Four suspects visited the victim’s business, leading to an interaction between them and the victim before fleeing the scene. The victim, a man, chased the individuals and managed to catch up with one of them, who then slashed him with a sharp object on the upper arm. The man sustained minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Following the incident, search warrants were executed in the areas of Don Mills Road and The Donway East, as well as Doris and Byng avenues. A 16-year-old girl from Toronto was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, harassment, possession of a weapon, and mischief/damage to property. Additionally, a 15-year-old girl and an 18-year-old man from Toronto were also arrested and charged with harassment and assault with a weapon or imitation weapon.

Police have stated that the fourth suspect involved in the incident is still at large. The investigation into the case is ongoing as authorities work to bring all individuals involved to justice.
