Portl Raises $3 Million to Improve AI-Powered Fitness Solutions

Portl, a cutting-edge startup revolutionizing digital fitness and wellness technology, has secured a significant milestone by closing a $3 million funding round. The investment, spearheaded by Bharat Innovation Fund, with substantial contributions from existing investor Kalaari Capital and new supporter T-Hub Foundation, will propel Portl’s growth in product development, market expansion, and AI capabilities.

Founded in 2021 by Indraneel Gupta, Vishal Chandapeta, and Armaan Kandhari, Portl has been at the forefront of redefining at-home fitness solutions. Their flagship product, the Portl Studio, features a Smart Mirror with advanced technology like bio-sensors, HD cameras, and edge-AI processing, providing users with real-time feedback on form, health metrics monitoring, and integration with telemedicine for a comprehensive wellness experience.

The infusion of capital will enable Portl to diversify its product range, including the introduction of connected strength systems with adjustable digital weight technology suitable for all fitness levels. Additionally, plans are underway to launch new products focusing on digital health and wellness through a blend of sophisticated technology, engaging content, and robust hardware.

Investors like Ashwin Raguraman from Bharat Innovation Fund and Vamshi Reddy from Kalaari Capital lauded Portl’s AI-driven personalization engine, which offers tailored workout plans and dynamic adaptation to individual preferences, positioning the startup as a trailblazer in the home fitness sector.
