Reading Time: < 1 minute

Portuguese companies are making waves in the technology sector, with 16 companies from the country ranking among the 500 fastest-growing technology companies in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region, according to Deloitte’s “Fast 500 EMEA” list.

These companies have shown impressive growth, with an average increase of 810 percent over the past three years. What’s even more impressive is that around 32 percent of the companies that were featured in the first edition of the “Fast 50 Portugal” have now made it onto the international ranking.

Pedro Brás da Silva, associate partner at Deloitte Portugal, expressed his excitement over the success of Portuguese companies in the global market, stating that it is a clear indication of the talent and innovation present in the country.

The highest-ranked Portuguese company on the list is Sword Health, followed by Addvolt and Knok. Other notable Portuguese companies featured in the ranking include Magic Beans, Twistag, Replai, HiJiffy, The Loop Co., Code For All, Mediaprobe, StoneShield – Engineering, Agix – Innovative Engineering, Casafari, Boost: IT, Valuedate.io, and SweetCar.

With an average increase in employees from 229 in 2019 to 830 in 2022, these companies are not only growing rapidly but also creating job opportunities in the technology sector. The success of these Portuguese companies serves as a testament to the country’s potential to host globally relevant technology companies.
